A rare Monday off. Hardly need to explain that this has not been daily. I definitely went through something in the last year where sitting down to write about my writing was harder, because I barely had enough time and energy to write.

It was a busy year in many ways, but it was also a year that saw me come down with COVID, a number of other illnesses and I had my appendix out.

It was not that I wasn’t having ideas — I was, but the energy wasn’t there to execute them. The plan, as always when you start a new year, is to make it all happen. Things will happen and things will fail to happen, and the year will take the shape it takes dependent on my own determinism and ability.

I am in the process of tidying up my work space, getting something down for each of the ideas I noted down, so that they don’t die or disappear because the piece of paper gets buried. I love that WordPress allows me to craft endless websites where I can develop stories and poetry books. I always have a lot of irons in the fire, and out the other end of the sausage making machine comes the occassional book.

I will build some stronger links between all the projects so someone can find them and follow them if they want. Something will get done. How many somethings get done depends on a number of factors.
