I love writing, and I love reading good writing. Watching a well written script acted is also a great thing.
I like to listen to people talk, and feel that I have a good idea for dialogue.
It is very educational to see how a drama is constructed, how tensions are ratcheted up, and how things are foreshadowed and held at bay until they are ready to be unpacked.
I am enjoying Peaky Blinders and I really dug The Outsider. What do they say and what do they choose to hold out? You don’t have to Dan Brown verbose – you can instead be Cormac McCarthy and wield your prose like a scalpel.
