A good horror movie is subtle where it needs to be and punches where it needs to. I like Insidious and its sequels. Evil manifests in some very interesting shapes, and this one really does communicate.

There have been some great horror movies recently, such as Hereditary and Suspiria, and they really do feel like inheritors of some of the skills of Stephen King. Why do you care what happens in a horror movie? Because you care what happens to the people. Why would you care for what happens to badly drawn ciphers?

It is an interesting genre to write in – as difficult as comedy, with the timing aspect and everything. But who doesn’t love a challenge? Check out Horror Move
